Private building law regulates, among other things, the legal relationships between private parties involved in construction. On the one hand, it includes the relationships between the person who commissions a building ( the client ) and those involved in planning and executing the building (this includes architects, engineers, construction companies, tradesmen, etc.). On the other hand, private building law also includes private neighbor law. This also includes problem solving in the processing of work contracts. This includes acceptance of work and remuneration, advance performance obligations and interim payments , liability for material defects , termination rights, construction contracts and the VOB/B. Public building law regulates, among other things, the admissibility of building projects under planning and building regulations.
